A nod to its military-inspired aesthetic, the Hydra Zulu is named after the Armed Forces designation for UTC/GMT. As with its standard edition counterpart, it's a multifunctional beast with tactical style.
Added to its capabilities as a dive watch is its GMT movement and use of two different luminous compounds to separate time zones: light orange Superluminova for local and dive times, and green C3 to track a second time zone. With its striking appearance, multipurpose utility, and 200 meters / 660 feet of water resistance, the Hydra is the watch to take anywhere and everywhere.

That's exactly how we would describe the Hydra Zulu. So, if you ever find yourself in the jungle, evading a highly-trained killer from outer space, or high in the sky competing for the title of top fighter pilot in the Navy, this just might be the watch for you.

OLD-SCHOOL COOL
Just like its forebears, the Hydra Zulu sports a Hesalite crystal. It's stood the test of time on the wrists of explorers, mountaineers, divers, and even astronauts. It has a distinct clarity and charm sapphire just can't replicate.
Afraid of scratches? The Hydra Zulu includes a Polywatch tube and polishing cloth to keep it looking like new.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT
The Hydra offers superior low-light visibility, differentiating between time zones via luminous pigments. The bezel, inner dial markers, hour, minute and seconds hands use light orange Superluminova, while the 24-hour track on the outer dial and GMT hand use green C3.
READY FOR ACTION
Inside the Hydra ticks the Miyota 9075. It features a quickset 12-hour hand, allowing for easy transitioning between time zones. With this functionality, local time can be set quickly at the destination as the movement is running, while the GMT hand remains on the time zone it was tracking.
Of course, the 9075 also features Miyota's unique combination of reliability and accuracy.

THE INSPIRATION
The 1980s was a decade of over-the-top action, dueling fighter jets, big guns and bulging biceps. Action heroes were at the height of their bravado, and they had the watches to match.

The references that inspired the Hydra Zulu are purely cinematic, from Timothy Dalton's Tag Heuer in The Living Daylights, to Tom Cruise's Orfina in Top Gun, to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Seiko in Predator and Commando.
